
Suspended above complex, chaotic urban textures. For months, stuck in heavy traffic, I did nothing but look. I categorized the skyline’s debris: windows, balconies, doors, pillars, satellite dishes, AC units, tangled cables, telecom towers. Studied the facades, billboards, junk, buses, cars, and the people moving through, below, and above.
Cairo Code art book is the output of that imprint, a collection of personal designs using a mix of photography and editing that lead to creating the actual Cairo Code.
